You’re rocking my world

I’m writing this by lantern and a fully charged iPad. We just lost power in a late snow storm. Our peach tree’s branches, spread with fully open, bright pink blossoms for the past week already, are bowed all the way to the ground. Seeing that, it’s not surprising we’re out of power. I’m loving the coziness and the excuse to go straight to bed after my son, Austin, falls asleep. Any minute now he’ll stop singing to himself in the next room...

You know, you guys are rocking my world. Thank you for reading my emails and for replying!

I got two great replies to this morning’s (Tuesday’s) email, putting a big smile on my face this afternoon. (Thank you, Jamie and Irene!)

Rosaline volunteered to spend her precious time talking with me about how she balances life and ambition, a few weeks ago Anne Marie sent an article she thought I would like, and Anar asked great questions about how to start promoting her business online.

Not to mention my wonderful sister, Leah, who has read and replied to every single one of my emails for the past 3+ months!

When someone responds, it gives me the jollies for at least 24 hours. Also, please know that the positivity is paid forward to Aaron (my husband) and Austin. I pay it forward in extra generosity and silliness, as in: “No, you relax. I’ll make dinner tonight,” and Hamilton karaoke/dance parties in our living room.

When I started this experiment of emailing daily, hoping to replace social media as my main form of marketing and putting ideas into the world, I didn’t know how it would work. I didn’t know if there’d be real interaction with anyone or if I’d be writing to the void.

It’s actually working, though, and it’s fun! Thank you for being willing to reply to a random internet stranger!!

Talk to you soon,

Andrea
